CASTIGLIONE DELLA PESCAIA
It is a very well preserved medieval village which rises on a hill surrounded by a circle of turreted walls. Facing the sea there is a fortified castle with three towers (Rocca Aragonese).
At the foot of the hill there are the modern village, a port for fishing boats and yachts, the beaches.
Along the coast there is an inique maritme pine wood which stetches for a few km up to the river Ombrone.
