Accommodations and Services in Rio Verde Natura e Cultura
Cà di Mezzo" is the place-name of the estate that houses the agritourism. The rural buildings that compose this agritourism are the farm house and one old stable that is being restored, in the narrow and fresh valley of the Rio Verde.
The farm house is used for accommodation. It is completely restored and contains 8 bedrooms with private bath to accommodate 16 guests, and a sitting room where guests may partake in a welcoming cup of coffee. The rooms, 1 single, 6 doubles and one triple, are all different one from the other, both in color and furnishings, which are strictly authentic country design. Each room has a comfortable bathroom and large shower; Satellite TV, wireless internet connection, refrigerator and a kettle is available for customers to make coffee and tea. Seasonal flowers color the rooms with freshness.
Ginestra (broom), Maggiociondolo (laburnum), Sambuco (elderberry), Viburno (viburnum), Rosa canina (rosehip), Prugnolo (sloe) and Ligustro (privat) are native bushes you will find in the park, and are the plants that give the name and characteristic color to each room. Each plant can be identified by a ceramic tile, hand painted by the artist Alessandra Pellacani, decorated with the Colle Ameno (Sasso Marconi, 1700).

Where we areSasso Marconi, already known and a Tourist Municipality and the City of Wine , is a careful and active participant in the development of agritourism activities and tourist offers, both for the possible work expansion and returns for farms and their related activities, as well as to protect the territory where they operate. Especially interesting is the Tourist Guidebook, which now comes with a map that highlights the numerous itineraries and their great historical, cultural and naturalistic interest.
The farm is only 2 Km from the center of town, approximately 5 Km from the motorway. With Bologna (18 Km) and Casalecchio di Reno (8 Km.) nearby, as well as important tourist and cultural locations such as Florence, Ravenna, Ferrara, Venice etc., makes it and excellent base for excursions.
Connection via train with the city (25 minute run), provides our guests with yet another service.
The municipality of Sasso Marconi is part of the territory that hosts Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori dell'Appennino Bolognese (The road of wines and flavors of the Bolognese Apenines) and the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori Città Castelli e Ciliegi (The road of Wines and Flavors of Citta Castelli and Cherries) of Bologna and Modena and the area that produces the typical cherry of Vignola; twinned with the cities of Helston, in Cornwall (UK), Sassenage (France) and Siderno (Calabria).
The Oasis of San Gherardo is of great environmental interest: recently opened to the public, it is situated at the foot of the awesome and impressive ravine of Contrafforte Pliocenico, it can be visited upon request by groups and on scheduled days. For information visit the web site infosasso.
