The farmhouse has been meticulously restored and furnished with every comfort. There are two floors of living quarters and plenty of space both inside and out.
Guests can choose to relax in the shade of oak and cypress trees in the large garden surrounding the house, or they can bask in the glorious Tuscan sun beside the swimming pool, which is also equipped with hydromassage jets.
The beauty of the farmhouse, the quality of the furnishings, the warmth and hospitality of the owners and the tranquillity of the surroundings combine to make Podere Monti an exceptional “agriturismo” where guests can savour the art of living well naturally.
Accommodations and Services in Agriturismo Podere Monti
At Podere Monti every room is a story. The furnishings and decoration have been carefully chosen to give each one its own unique character. The rooms are named for different artists who contributed to the rich cultural heritage of Montepulciano. Their works can be seen in the pictures hung on the walls of the room bearing their name. All the beds are superior king-size, with bedsteads of handcrafted metal. The traditional ceilings of brick and wood beams have been preserved and the floors are of wood planks. Antique sofas are covered in rich, luminous fabrics, and natural linens create a wonderful play of light with the warm Tuscan sun.
Each room has its own bathroom and these are an intriguing blend of the old and the new; modern washbasins rest on 19th century mangers and liberty-style lamps illuminate the floors of Etruscan clay tile. “Of all wines, Montepulciano is King,” wrote Francesco Redi. Guests have the opportunity to confirm the truth of this as each room is paired with a different winery and they can sample the renowned wines of the region from their own wine cellar.

The bread is homemade using the finest whole grain flours and a long, slow leavening process. There’s a delightful choice of teas and a selection of the finest quality coffees. Homemade tarts and cakes round out this healthy and delicious breakfast.
Meals At Podere Monti only breakfast is served unless requests are made in advance for other meals. However, there are many good pubs and fine restaurants in the area and we would be delighted to advise you in your choice. Should you wish to have other meals prepared for you, our Italian-French chef, Maurizio, offers a range of dishes from traditional Tuscan cuisine to new and innovative approaches to gastronomic interpretation.
Te Wine Cellar Podere Monti offers guests an impressive selection of the fine wines of Montepulciano. The owners are well acquainted with the wine growers of the region and their wine cellar comprises the very best of the local production. Guests have the opportunity to savour these fine wines, most of them from relatively small producers, while sitting in the garden or under the wisteria arbour – perhaps meditating on the sunset....
