Our areas is ideal for mountains tours with a private guide and comfortable alpine huts invite you to take a rest and to enjoythe panorama.
In the valley are 25 km ski run lines,the ski center Wipptalis situated in the next area.

In summer, countless hiking paths and mountain tours around Pfitsch await you. From a simple footpath to challenging high-alpine tours, there truly is something for everyone. The highest mountain of the Zillertal Alps, the Hochfeiler (elev. 3510 m), is also located in the Pfitschtal.

Sterzing is a medieval town, once a thriving trading centre and part of the Fugger dynasty, captivating with its romantic and picturesque character. With 5800 residents, Sterzing is the main community in the Wipptal Valley and lies at 948 metres above sea level. This small Alpine town, once playing host to emperors and kings, is today a precious gem, rich in art-historical treasures, lanes flanked by oriel-adorned facades and elegant shops.
The Schneeberg mine, the highest mine in all of Europe and the one with the longest period of productivity in the Alpine region (800 years of silver-, lead- and zinc-mining), has today been turned into a mine that is open for the general public to enjoy.
The “Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Klamm”, as it was christened some 100 years ago, is the world’s only gorge that is cut deep into pure white marble. The waters of the Ratschingser Bach force themselves between towering rock walls, thunderously plunging over numerous waterfalls to the valley below. An unforgettable experience for young and old!
