A stone’s throw from the Amalfi and Cilento coasts, in an area rich in beauty, culture and archaeology, the baronial Negri family owns an old estate in Gaiano Fisciano, near the 19th century main building and around the farmhouse, “La Corte”, nestled in the Irno Park.

Monica, the only daughter of Baron Antonio Negri, has transformed the family estate into a charming organic agriturismo, in memory of her father, allowing all guests to enjoy the enchantment and ancient flavours of this corner of paradise, that reminds her of summer holidays from when she was a child.

The garden features a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna with adjoining Turkish bath and a whirlpool tub reserved for guests, creating a special atmosphere in the evenings. The same area is also home to a snack bar for cocktails or pre-dinner drinks.

The food is based on traditions from the family and the local area. Most of the produce comes from the farming business and the recipes are authentic Campania-style, with specialties such as lasagne with vegetables, ricotta ravioli, mushroom pâté and wild boar, prepared with herbs and enriched with tasty side dishes.

La Dolceria dessert area is the tastiest: biscuits with hazelnuts to add that finishing touch to a meal are baked here, and can be purchased in packs for a sweet memory and thoughtful gift for family and friends. Products such as cakes, doughnuts, mostaccioli, croccante and rococò are stylish traditional gift from Campania.

The agriturismo offers a 2-day program.

- First day: guided tour of the agriturismo, customised cookery classes.

Morning
Walks in the Frassineto natural park, 2 km from Gaiano, where there are paths and trails: large play area for children and picnic area with fixed barbecues; no accompaniment necessary.

Afternoon
Lunch at the restaurant (or picnic lunches in the aforementioned park, prepared in the morning), guided tour of the agriturismo:
• animal grazing, illustration of the work and produce in the vegetable garden, the vineyard, the fruit trees and the olive trees.
• explanation of the cycle of the ‘organic Tonda di Giffoni hazelnut’, visit to the drying room with machines running, tasting of the hazelnuts, depending on the season, collecting hazelnuts, chestnuts and walnuts, picking mushrooms and flowers.
• preparation of the wood-burning oven and the dough for pizza and bread (made by the guests together with the kitchen staff)

Evening
Tasting of bread and pizza around the oven with good red wine or dinner in the restaurant.

- Second day
Work in the countryside and in the garden. feeding the domestic animals, excursions.

Morning
Guided tour to the mountains of the Valle dell'Irno and Mount S. Michele, 1600 m, 3 hours on foot or drive to the square and then an hour on foot, with picnic lunch prepared by the agriturismo in the morning (on request: horse trekking, mountain biking, motocross, with third party organisations).

Afternoon
•  food and wine tasting tours, visiting producers of mozzarella, oil and excellent homemade ice cream
•  customised cookery classes run directly by the staff, particularly on homemade pasta and sweets with hazelnuts.

Over the next few days, if you have three or more days available, it is possible to visit places to admire the landscapes and archaeology, including Gaiano, the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum, Paestum and Cilento. 
To visit the Amalfi Coast, you can use your own car or boats departing from Salerno: the agriturismo organises day-long boat trips to Amalfi and Positano on request for a certain number of guests.

La Grotta dello Smeraldo

Essa è una delle più famose al mondo e fu scoperta da un pescatore nel 1932. Deve il suo nome alle tonalità smeraldine che assume l'acqua per via della luce solare filtrata attraverso una fenditura sottomarina. Nel 1956, sul suo fondale, è stato allestito un presepe subacqueo, composto da statuine di ceramica di Vietri.
 
Atrani: the small Square
