Villa Cristina is a very comfortable farm holidays which is located in the striking area of “Ciane & Saline” nature reserve, only 4 km away from Syracuse city centre and next to the most beautiful and interesting places as well as seaside resorts along the Eastern Sicilian coast.
The farm is situated along Mammaiabica canal, which flows side by side to the river Ciane up to its mouth, that is an integral part of the reserve.

This is one of the oldest Sicilian sacred places, connected to the nearby Olympeion as well as to Persefone’s myth: the nymph Ciane was changed into a river for having thwarted Ade during the goddess’ kidnapping.
The river Ciane is navigable by rowing boats which go upstream beginning from its mouth that is shared with Anapo river and Mammaiabica canal. Along the river’s banks there are blooming papyrus plants (Ciperus Papyrus) which were probably imported by the Arabs into Sicily as well as the citrus trees which are a grand and sweet-smelling frame to Villa Cristina farm.

In the veranda you can relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside as well as have some fun in the tennis court.
