We are happy to have your dogs in our farm. They can stay in the appartment or in special little houses with a garden that we have only for them.

Surroundings

You can enjoy a pleasant holiday in our farm-house all year round thanks to our mild climate and the opportunity to visit interesting places from the naturalistic, gastronomic and cultural point of view.

Just few Kms far there is the Natural Park of Maremma, with its uncontaminated maqui and animals which live undisturbed: you can see them in the huge plains of the coast, expecially during fall and spring. During the winter you can see waterbirds in little ponds and in the evening, during the red maremman sunsets, you can see the return of coots, wild ducks and wild gooses while you are comfortably seated in the farm-house's farmyard or terrace.

In a short time it will be possible to reach Alberese and the Park of Maremma by bike in few minutes, thanks to the restored old boat which once used to ferry people across the Ombrone river. To people who love sea and pinewoods Principina a Mare (5 Kms far)is the ideal place: it has clear water and huge sandy beaches where you can sun yourself or walk as far as the Ombrone river mouth or the harbour of Marina di Grosseto. The particular conditions of our sea permit to sport-loving to do surf and kite.

Just some Kms far, you can visit the wonderful archeological Etruscan and Roman sites of Roselle and Vetulonia and southwards (about one hour's drive) Sovana, which is located near the famous Spa of Saturnia, where water is 37°.

To the south of Grosseto there is Monte Argentario, with its little villages and strongholds dated back to the Spaniard Dominion and the lagoon of Orbetello, which is famous for its eels' breedings and an excellent botargo.

To the north of Grosseto there is Massa marittima, about 40 minutes’ drive, with its wonderful duomo and the lake of "Accesa".

In Mount Amiata, about one hour's drive, during the winter you can ski and during the summer you can enjoy the cool climate, visit the Faunistic Park or walk.

Our territory is rich in local and traditional products: you can taste excellent sheep's milk cheeses with DOC wines (there are 8 different kind of DOC wines in the province of Grosseto), meat of animals bred in a natural state and salami and cold pork meat of "Cinta Senese" (n.d.t.: it is a croosbreed between a pig and a wild boar).

Going around you can find inns and little restaurants where you can taste local dishes. In our farm-house you can buy our jams.

Siena is 70 Kms far, Firenze is 160 Kms far; you can reach Livorno, Pisa and Lucca in half an hour's drive.
