In the stupendous setting of the San Gimignano hills, only one kilometer from the old town centre, you will find the “Il Palagetto” residence, which offers its guests a unique opportunity to enjoy an exceptional holiday full of beauty and relaxation. The structure includes a castle of medieval origins, Villa Il Palagetto, which has been divided into 6 pleasant apartments and recently restored in line with its original architectural elements, and a farmhouse, the Palagetto Guesthouse, which has been divided into Bed&Breakfast bedrooms.
Villa Il Palagetto is surrounded by the gentle hills typical of the Tuscan landscape, full of olive tree groves and vineyards which produce exceptional extra virgin olive oil and excellent Vernaccia wine. In the nearby garden you will find a renovated barn now used as the breakfast room.
During the summertime guests can enjoy the swimming pool set within the greenery and tranquility of the outdoor areas adjacent to the accommodation. You can also take advantage of a free tasting of the Niccolai Estate wines in the Palagetto farm structure.
Villa Palagetto places at the disposal of its guests a few bedrooms also available for short periods of time. The bedrooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom. Palagetto Guesthouse offers bed & breakfast service; breakfast is served in the furnished room situated in the garden that surrounds the Villa.

San Gimignano
The Municipality of San Gimignano is in the Province of Siena, in Tuscany. Its centuries of history began in the early middle ages. It was precisely for its unique and unmistakable mediaeval structure that UNESCO declared San Gimignano part of World Heritage.
A typical feature of the town, recognised worldwide, is the exceptional skyline with its towers standing out against the sky. Of the seventy-two mediaeval towers of 1325 only seventeen remain – two of them tower-houses – to perpetuate the image of San Gimignano over the years. The town is world famous not only for its special architecture but also and above all for the richness of the artworks it has soberly preserved and for Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a rare white wine which has been exclusively produced here since the middle ages when it was already being drunk by Pope Martinus IV to "wash down" the eels he liked to eat.
San Gimignano is right in the centre of Tuscany, in a strategic position where you can stay and meanwhile visit other interesting places in Tuscany. A one or two week stay in San Gimignano gives you the opportunity to discover all its extraordinariness and all the beauty of the whole of Tuscany.
Florence is 55 Km away, Siena 42 Km, Monteriggioni 30 Km, Volterra 30 Km, Pisa 60km and the Chianti area 15 Km. San Gimignano stands 324 metres above sea level.
