
“La Ginestra” is a 30 hectare organic farm, situated deep in the green hills of Umbria, 650 metres above sea level, partly wooded and partly farmed, with an olive grove, orchard and pasture. It is a protected area and home to rare plants and animals.
The farm, which has been operative for 12 years, includes a principal dwelling dating back to the 19th century, a tower-house and a cottage - all restored in stone in their original architectural form.
For those who truly love nature and tranquillity there are plenty of rural activities including nature trails, mountain biking, trekking, bird watching, archery, swimming pool (12m x 6m - 15 May-15 October) and walking, horse-riding lessons, excursions on horseback.
We let fully equipped furnished flats (2 to 7 beds) with central heating (orthopaedic mattresses and bedsteads) with private garden, for weekends or on a weekly or monthly basis.
The prices include all incidental expenses such as: bed linen, towels, final cleaning, energy consumption, use of launderette, swimming pool, walks on natural paths.
Additional payment: central heating, archery and mountain bike for hire.
Organic breakfast (fresh spelt,kamut -bread, spelt,kamut and wheat cakes, honey, a choice of natural jams, butter, milk, coffee, tea, fruit juice,yoghurt) € 8 daily per person.
For meals we have an agreement with local inns and restaurants (1 km) that offer organic cooking as well as typical food from the area (mushrooms, truffles, game, barbecued meat, etc.) and prices vary from € 13 to € 25 per person per meal.

The farm produces: hay, cereals (spelt, wheat), legumes (lentils, field beans, chickpeas), olive oil, vegetables, jams, honey, spelt-bread. It is possible to buy fresh and preserved organic products from the farm, or from other organic farms in the region.

- trekking along CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) paths, accompanied by guides;
- walks and trails of every level of difficulty on rented mountain bikes, accompanied by guides of the AMI;

- courses in natural and vegetarian cooking (bread-making);
- holistic wellness techniques (Ayurvedic massage and Tuina with essential oils, Shiatsu massage).
In the area it is possible to follow:
- hang-gliding courses (Monte Cucco Italian School);
- horse riding facilities and trekking on horseback;
- courses in ceramics;
- courses in wrought iron.
