It is immersed in the greenness of cypresses and holm-oaks and is surrounded by countless medieval towns and castles. It is only 7 km away from the medieval town of Certaldo, the birthplace of the famous writer Boccaccio and 15 km away from San Gimignano, famous for its towers and its magnificent historical centre. Casachianti is the ideal starting point for a cultural and artistic tour around Tuscany and the crossing point of very interesting natural itineraries and routes that are part of the excursion programme "Dolce campagna, antiche mura" (Trekking guide of Tuscany).
