The Farmhouse
La Scheggia, a typical example of Grand-Ducal architecture, is a small rural hamlet dating back to the 15th century that was completely restored in the ‘80s under the Building Authority of Arezzo. The building belongs to the Association of Historical Dwellings of Tuscany. It is a large farmhouse made up of eight apartments and three detached houses with one big swimming pool surrounded by a garden. The apartments are completely furnished and all have a kitchen. The restoration of the buildings was carried out in observance of the simplicity of the old rural dwellings built with stone, terracotta tiles and chestnut beams. The furniture comes from the local family houses.

Our guests are provided with a big swimming pool (6x12), bowling green and mountain bikes. Young people can play football, ping pong and table soccer. Night tennis matches can be played by booking a court at the Anghiari Tennis Club. Horseback riding along the paths travelled by Saint Francis upon reservation. Of particular interest are the courses held in Applied Arts under the guidance of Master Artisans: lacquering, inlaying, carving, gilding and restoration.
