Discover Brescia - Guide to vacation Brescia

Brescia is one of the largest provinces in Lombardy, comprising over two hundred municipalities.
This wonderful historical city is located in the east of Lombardy. Brescia’s land is partly mountainous and partly flat. Rich in history and art, Brescia is among the major cities of Lombardy, both economically and in terms of tourism.
The city has always engaged in cultural activities, from exhibitions and museums to the many events that take place there.

Visit Piazza della Loggia, a testimony to Venetian rule, in the historical centre of Brescia, also Palazzo Loggia and the Monti di Pieta. The Clock Tower is charming with its "Macc dè lé ure", or figures that sound the hours.
In Piazza della Vittoria, visit the Tower and the Palazzo delle Poste. In Piazza Paolo VI is the Old Cathedral, called the Rotunda due to its circular shape. Do not leave Brescia without seeing the Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery, located in a seventeenth-century palace, with collections of paintings by masters of the Brescia Renaissance.

Inside the Castello di Brescia is the Luigi Marzoli Museum of Arms. One of the most important in Europe, it houses a large collection of fifteenth-century weapons and armour.
On the outskirts of Brescia treat yourself to a walk in the Adamello Park, with its various possibilities for excursions.
For lovers of spas we choose Boario, an important spa centre in the Valcamonica, which has also earned its fame due to Alessandro Manzoni’s visits there. Limone sul Garda is one of the most delightful of Italy’s villages, famous for the cultivation of citrons, whereas Paratico in the suggestive landscape of Franciacorta, is one of the two Italian areas producing spumante. The name "Franciacorta” has indeed become synonymous with the DOCG sparkling wine produced in the many vineyards in the area and known throughout the world along with fine red and white wines.
