A splendid farmhouse on top of a hill overlooking one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. Immersed in the vegetation of more than 2,000m of garden, the house is part of a 40 hectare estate noted for its surrounding relaxing oasis of olive groves, forests and vineyards.
The unforgettable view guarantees a relaxing stay and a sense of wellbeing and tranquillity. Our large swimming pool is located a few metres from the building in a secluded spot among olive trees and vineyards. The panoramic terrace offers unforgettable sunset views.
The Antica Fornace is about 400m from the small medieval village of Cedri, and less than half an hour from the most famous Tuscan cities such as Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano, and the coast. The position is ideal for anyone wanting to discover Tuscany’s most beautiful locations while staying in welcoming and relaxing accommodation.

Located only few metres from our farmhouse is a small but cosy restaurant, open at weekends exclusively for our guests. Here Tuscan specialities can be sampled and the best Tuscan wines enjoyed, as well as all our range of local products, IGT wines and, especially, our extra virgin olive oil. Breakfast (included in the price) is also served here every morning.
Where we areOnly 400m from the farm is the little medieval village of
Cedri where the 18th century Villa Alexandria is located.
Many medieval villages are only a few minutes away from the farmhouse, such as
Palaia, Libbiano, Lajatico (home of Andrea Bocelli’s famous Theatre of Silence),
Pratello, Montelopio, Ghizzano (the church of SS. Annunziata with its 15th century wood sculptures by Nino Pisano!) Chianni, Castelfalfi and Monti – all villages nestling in the natural surroundings of the Tuscan countryside with its ancient villas and cultural heritage.
Peccioli and San Gimignano are about ten minutes away, and at less than half an hour’s distance are the other, most representative towns of
Montaione,
Siena and Volterra. The proximity of the Florence-Pise-Livorno motorway means that other major Tuscan cities, such as Pisa and Florence, can be reached in less than an hour, as well as the entire Etruscan coast. Our qualified staff will also inform you about all the cultural events, museums and guided tours that are available.
