The Villa of Pignocco rises in a beautiful panoramic position on the gentle slopes overlooking the seaside town of Pesaro, plunged in the greenery of nature amongst olive groves, cultivated fields and woods of pine, oak and laurel. It is an ancient and fascinating farmhouse dating back to 1700 and today it has been carefully restructured to become fashionable again.

What was once the barn, the stall, the tower and the sharecropper’s residence have now been turned into comfortable apartments, where one can take a relaxing vacation surrounded by nature and close to the sea.

The Villa “Il Pignocco has been in our family for more than fifty years. According to recent studies, the villa is situated in an area where, 2000 years ago, the ancient Romans performed pagan rites in honour of their gods.

The villa and its adjoining small family oratory boast an enviable history and position. For many years our family has been dreaming of sharing with you the beauty and the magic of this corner of nature, so close to the coastal town of Pesaro, but at the same time so distant from the stress of modern life.

We will be pleased to have you as our guests and to make suggestions on how to discover our beautiful Le Marche region. You can be sure of an enthusiastic and very friendly welcome.

The apartments have been obtained from the former house and the barn of an ancient farm.

The charming and refined apartments, characterized by natural and relaxing colours, have:

The accomodations can be studio for 2-3 people, tw-roomed or three-roomed falts for 4-5 people.

A splendid and romantic apartment has been built on the 4 floors of the glass turret of the main villa. The floors are connected by an ancient pig iron winding staircase. The flat's name is Feronia and it is just unique!

The Country House “Il Pignocco” is situated in the animated landscape of the region of Marche, where less than one hour of car and less than fifty kilometres separate the Apennine Mountains from the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea.

The holiday house resides on the hills bordering the ancient historical centre of Pisaurum (Pesaro), attractive town of Roman origins on the seashore and nestling between the mountain St. Bartolo and the Ardizio hill. Nearby the residence, on the hilltops, in the sea breezes, rise svillages and medieval castles, such as Gradara and Novilara, spectacular examples of contact between history and culture.

And more, between hills and mountains, in around half an hour by car, the city of Urbino represents the birthplace of Italian Renaissance. In the mountainous hinterland, on the slopes of the Montefeltro, on the peaks of the Nerone, there is a continuous spectacle of nature, of historical memories, fortresses, ruins, sanctuaries.

The Country House "Il Pignocco" offers the sea, the green of the hills, the silence of nature, the history, the music of the great Gioacchino Rossini and much more.
