You'll enter in the eagerly desired world of serenty: the sunny and eye-catching inner court encircled by robust ancient walls in natural stones, the shadows of the mulberry tree, a splashing fountain, the chirping of the crickets..
The garden has plenty of shady places where you can enjoy a fresh summer breeze during the warmest parts of the day.
In summer, on walking distance of the Farm, you can enjoy the relaxing sound and natural gentle freshness of the river in the Orfento Gorge.

The agriturismo Pietrantica
has 6 rooms of different styles:
just renewed having a
private bathroom and
some of these rooms have
a few seems suites ,
someone with a small cook.
The structure has been obtained
from some old barns that have
been renovated respecting
the original materials and
bio- building techniques:
Majella stone, wood,
and fired bricks... According
to these conditions, we have also
maintained the original inner division:
we have renovated six large rooms
with bathroom and two small
apartments with kitchenette
and fireplace.
All rooms are
completely independent.

The 20 inches thick walls are built with natural stones and ensure a cool and comfortable ambient in every room or apartaments. The rooms have a typical Abruzzese interior equipped with a modern bathroom. Ideal for relaxing after a long walk through the breathtaking countryside Agriturismo Pietrantica is situated in a central area of National Park of Majella, only 7min drive from Caramanico Terme.
This accommodation represent the best solution to spend holiday in a wild walking. The owners Camillo and Marisa Sanelli are certified mountain guides of this area as well ski instructors. They cultivate the land to produce much of their own food including growing grain which they turn into bread for your breakfast. Marisa is an excellent cook and great entertainer. She is featured in the ‘Slow Food’ Magazine.

The Majella has a
wide choice of walking
options –high mountain summits,
deep gorge walks or exploring the numerous hermitages
throughout the park.
Some walks pass through Decontra, allowing you to join the paths from Pietrantica.
The majority of the paths
are well marked and
easy to follow
using the“red and white” markings.
We are in the heart of
Majella National Park,
here the spontaneous
flora is protected, here you can
find several very rare species
of flowers like for instance the
orange and Turk's cap lilies,
aquilegia magellensis, viola eugenia
magellensis, gentians,
mountain anemones, edelweiss,
and many others...
Marisa and Camillo are
from the region and have
an extensive knowledge
of the Majella and share a
huge passion and a
healthy respect for
the landscape and its wilderness;
they are mountain guides
who understand the park
and can advise
on suitable walks in the area.
