San Ottaviano was an ancient medieval tower that dates back to about year 1000. Today, it has been turned into a farm holiday centre while keeping its ancient charm.
It is surrounded by 400 hectares of woods, olive groves and land where typical crops of the Maremma are grown. Located at an altitude of 150 metres, each apartment enjoys a breathtaking view over the Tuscan countryside.Its strategic position offers guests interesting excursions to the neighbouring medieval villages of Suvereto, Castagneto Carducci, Massa Marittima, Populonia and to the ancient thermal baths of Calidario and the splendid beaches of the Maremma coast, the nearest of which is inside in a natural park.
From the San Ottaviano swimming pool, guests can admire the splendid sunsets of the Maremma countryside.

The property has a swimming pool 18mx8m overlooking the valley of the River Cornia. Our clients have the opportunity to take many excursions and go hiking. Mountain bikes are available for hire for our customers and we will advise which routes are nearby.

Many cities can be reached in short amounts of time such as, Pisa, Florence and Siena. They are all within an hour and a half.
Some of the most beautiful beaches of Tuscany can be reached in less than 30 minutes and the ferry that takes you to the island of Elba leaves every half an hour. The harbour is 30km away from San Ottaviano.
