The Farm Pilapalucci is halfway between Bari and Matera and is reachable from the SS 96. There is a strong commitment to the promotion of local products, in particular by the  Apulian Slow Food Praesia and the Apulian Murgia kitchen. Emphasis is placed on delicacies made ​​of fine almonds grown in the farm (variety "Anthony Devito" and "Philip Cea"): the cavatidd 'all'aminue (cavatelli with almond pesto), the excellent "rosata",  milk almond.
 
Housing
The bedrooms are in lytic the old building of the sixteenth century, fully restored with all the modern comforts. They overlook a large terrace from which you can enjoy a magnificent landscape. The decor is very nice and much of the furniture,  typical of an aristocratic countryhouse, belong to the D'Urso Family sincefor long time ago. The bathroom is in the room.
The dining rooms are spacious and very suggestive. One is located in the old stables, with features stone feeding troughs once used for horses. Another room overlooks the the small swimming pool and beautiful groves. There is a large meeting room with architecture "a pignon", suitable for conferences and seminars. The style "a pignon" was made ​​possible through the centuries by the uniqueness of the limestone Toritto, one of the oldest in all of Puglia.
The particular construction technique, together with altitude hill of 327 meters above sea level, makes the place climatically ideal. The dinners during the summer, with mild temperatures, are sometimes set up in the romantic atmosphere of the terraces.

The farm is ideal for long walks in the uncontaminated Murgia and visits to beautiful cities. It is possible to go cycling in the pretty country lanes.
The ancient sheepways are marked by road signs useful for those who want to go into nature trails,   reaching up to the famous Pulo di Altamura, karst sinkhole not far from the place of discovery of the skeleton of the '"Man of Altamura", dating back to 200,000 years ago.
The small swimming pool at the masseria is useful for cooling off on hot summer days. At the request are also possible  "wellness" treatement  based on our oil, extra virgin olive oil and the almond ones. In particular, the almond oil is suitable to regenerate the skin and restore shine and strength to distressed hair after sea swimming.

Surroundings
We are at Toritto (Bari, Apulia), a place famous for having the best almond cultivars of Italy. The terroir is ideal for dry farming of almond trees, with production of a fruit known throughout the world and appreciated by the Gambero Rosso and all the best magazines specialized in high quality gastronomy.
The Murgia is characterized by an enchanting landscape, with small lame (dry beds of ancient rivers) running towards the Adriatic. There are farms in the territory, trulli, pigeon towers, large green patriarchs. dry stone walls. About two kilometers from the farm there is an important archaeological site of Peucets (pre-Roman civilization). Altamura and Ruvo's Museums  preserve precious artifacts found in thisthe area.
The international airport of Bari Palese is about 30 minutes by car. You may have, on request, also a taxi service that leaves from the farm.
