“I Calanchi di Riosto” is a wonderful agritourism in direct synergy with the winefarm “Podere Riosto”, wines from the Hills of Bologna. 
It is composed of the premises „Casalino”, “Torre” and “Carvulla”, in former times called “A Riosto”, during 1200 in possession of the progenitors of the renowned Lodovico Ariosto. 
The agritourism is an oasis of relax, situated 350 m above sea level in middle of the Riosto Hills and vineyards in an untouched ambiance, only a few kilometres away from Bologna direction Florence (Futa Pass). 
A place with an interesting historical background: from the prehistoric Pliocene era with fossil relics of whales and manatees, to the Late Middle Ages of the feudal peers Ariosti, and the Gothic Line during the Second World War. Today it is an ideal place of peace and recreation.
In the “Villa Casalino” we organize winetastings and guided tours through the wine cellar and the vineyards. If the weather is good, we can do those in our big garden or under the porch.
In the locality “Torre” we organise:
- Winetastings with snacks of local products in the newly built welcoming hall suited for weddings, graduation ceremonies, conferences and meetings, 
- Guided Tours through the winecellar,
- Explanations regarding the local wine production,
In the locality “Carvulla” we welcome our over night guests: 
7 tastefully renovated mini appartments are at your disposal on the spectacular estate of 70 hectares, in possession of the Franceschini Galletti family.

Starting from the farm to tour tower you can mountain bike paths 3 - 5 - 10 km with spectacular views of vineyards and gullies in an uncontaminated nature. 
Trek 
You can take walks, trying to satisfy different needs of difficulty and commitment to the accompaniment of an experienced guide in botany and geology or our complete map of the tracks. 
Ariosto and the family Riosto 
The territory of the Calanques of Riosto was once the City of Riosto with the Church, the cemetery, school, inn and the town lost territory. Today only the ruins of the Palace of Riosto, destroyed during World War 2. This land was feud of Ariosto and from there descend the ancestors of Ludovico Ariosto. 
Molino del Pero Golf (20 km) about sport 
18-hole course, technical, fun and varied. 
Located in the beautiful hilly landscape of the Bolognese Apennines combines perfectly the needs of the most technical player with those who see golf as a way to enjoy the surrounding environment. 
El Paso Riding Centre (9 km) 
Organize wonderful walks, even for beginners, in the Hills of Riosto under the expert guidance of Francesco De Rosa. 
Every Sunday morning (from 10 to 12), two hours of entertainment designed especially in a playful way to bring the kids to the magical world of horses. 
Farneto Cave (8 km) 
The cave of Farneto is the most popular chalk karst cave system present between the valleys of the Savena, ID and Zena. 
It 'an important prehistoric site which is located within the regional park and gullies dell'Abbadessa Gessi Bolognesi. 
Mount Bibele and the Archaeological Museum "Luigi Fantini" (25 km) 
Situated between the valleys of your and Zena, the massif of Monte Bibele has returned the remains of an important settlement of the Etruscan-Celtic Archaeological Museum "Luigi Fantini". The exhibition, which houses the largest collection of Celtic materials in the region is one of the most important in Italy. 
Etruscan city of Misa (18 km) 
The Etruscan city of Misa in Marzabotto, discovered in the second half of 1800, revealed religion, culture and social life of the Etruscans. 
The remains of this ancient Etruscan city are preserved in the Archaeological Museum "Pompeo Aria". 
Bologna (25 km)

Grifone in Sasso Marconi Guglielmo Marconi was the residence and today is the site of Guglielmo Marconi Foundation and Museum. 
The Marchese Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937) was a great Italian physicist and inventor. 
Dozza - Sforza Castle (50 km) 
Majestic and harmonized well with the village, built in the late 400 by Caterina Sforza, the Lady of Imola and Dozza. The current appearance of the fortress is the result of structural changes in purely military mansion.
