Piccola Raieda is a typical farmhouse of the
Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia, nestled amidst green pastures and centuries’ old woods. It is situated at an altitude of 500 metres, inside the uncontaminated
natural reserve of the “Contrafforte Pliocenico” (Pliocene Spur), just 25 minutes away from Bologna and 50 from Florence.
You will find
country double rooms and apartments, a typical Emilian cuisine, horseback tours and a lot of relax.
In our 10 hectares of land
we rear horses and poultry and we grow lavender, vegetables and cherries. We also produce
a fantastic honey and very tasty marmalades. We are specialised in
horse riding holidays, hiking and mountain biking.
But Piccola Raieda also offers
the finest hospitality with accomodation for up to 12 persons, including two comfortable double rooms and two spacious two-roomed apartments,
all the accomodations with bath, wrought iron bed, stone walls and wooden beam ceilings.
Breakfast and meals are served
in the old stone cowshed with fireplace, now converted into a dining room for guests.
With a short walk you can reach
our lake where it is possible to fish or to get tanned on its boards and going back to the farmhouse you can stop at the paddocks to say hallo to Chantal, Karin, Tibs, Giada, Giara, Maya and Bimba, our female horses.

Surroundings
Piccola Raieda is situated in a particularly striking position, northwards the gaze sweeps over the city of Bologna and over a fine portion of the Po Plain, when the air is really clean, and this happens especially during certain winter days, the sight reaches the snowy summits of the Alps, and the show is really unique.
Overlooking the south ridge of the farmhouse, man realizes how Tuscany really within a stone's throw is.
In this splendid land it is possible to walk for hours and hours inside woods which seem the fairy ones, to meet wild boars, roes, deer and fallow deer is on the agenda, there are ponds and brooks where nearly extinct animals like the crayfish of river and the spectacled salamander live.
The farmhouse Piccola Raieda is situated at about 10 minutes from the exit of Sasso Marconi of the A1 motorway and at about 25 minutes from the city of Bologna.
