Resting and relaxing amidst a natural setting, witnessing daily life on the farm at first hand and enjoying a variety of delicious farm-fresh products, making friends with the various farm animals - farm holidays can be great fun!
Every one of the seasons brings its own unique and special experience. In springtime you can enjoy being out and about in short sleeves, with the snow-capped mountain peaks still reminding you of winter whilst in summer the kids can play around in the hay and the adults can reward themselves with a quiet afternoon resting in the apple orchards. The golden autumn provides walkers with amazing views of the unspoilt countryside and in winter skiers can look forward to a cosy evening around the stove in the farmhouse parlour.

There can be no better way for families with children to spend their holiday. A farm is a mini adventure for kids and will keep them busy with plenty of surprises. The young ones can stumble into the muck heap, play around in the hay barn and suddenly find themselves face to face with a cow, whilst the older ones can help the farmer out in the stable and, with a little luck, witness farm animals coming to the world. Our farms have an atmosphere that holiday-makers are sure to appreciate and where hospitality takes top priority, starting with a breakfast of home-made farm products such as South Tyrolean speck, or smoked ham, fresh cheese, honey and jam or bread straight from the baker’s oven. Their experience of this traditional and down to earth farm lifestyle will provide city-dwellers with the reassurance that life lived at a more leisurely pace is still possible. Those looking for family atmosphere will instantly feel at home, as the large number of guests returning time and time again demonstrates. Our farms are genuine working farms, due to the Red Rooster policy of requiring farms to let accommodation only as a second source of income. Each farm is permitted to let a maximum of four holiday flats, guaranteeing guests authenticity and originality.
Tradition and local culture are kept very much alive in South Tyrol, with its diversity reflected in its farms. You can choose between modest dairy farms or fruit and wine growing farms. Experience the reality of the countryside – you will find a holiday to suit every taste here!
Its outstanding natural beauty against the impressive backdrop of the Alps, along with 300 days of sunshine a year and a variety of sporting activities, make the South Tyrol an ideal holiday destination. A farm holiday here will leave guests pleasantly tired and ready to fall into bed at the end of the day – 365 days a year.
