Podere Luisa has been created from the restoration of an antique barn, using only traditional materials and reusing, where possible, the original wooden beams and terracotta floor and ceiling tiles.

The building is divided into three apartments that can accommodate from two to eight people. All are equipped with air-conditioning, under-floor heating, satellite television and fully equipped kitchen. Each apartment has its own entrance, and either terrace or patio, with direct access to the swimming pool and garden area. Bed linen and towels are included and breakfast service can be arranged.

Podere Luisa is the perfect place to unwind from the stresses of the modern lifestyle. Relax by the pool, or in the sauna, or take one of the many massages on offer. For the more energetic, the surrounding countryside is perfect for walking or cycling (bicycles can be provided). The owners are always on hand to help you make the most of your stay.

The lands of the complex are farmed with care and enthusiasm, producing a very fine extra virgin olive oil, excellent Chianti wine D.O.C.G. and a delicious Vin Santo (a sweet dessert wine).
They can organise wine tasting (one is a qualified sommelier), traditional Tuscan cookery courses and barbecues, using only the finest local produce. If you prefer to do everything yourself, wood is provided for use with the barbeque and guests are welcome to help themselves to all the produce growing in the vegetable garden.

Surroundings

Podere Luisa is the perfect place to visit the most important Tuscany cities: Only 30 miles to the north lies the heart of artistic Italy, the renaissance city of Florence (Firenze) whilst heading 30 miles into the Chianti heartland brings you to romantic Siena.

Other famous sights in the area include the towered medieval of San Gimignano, Cortona and the beautiful yet untouristed Arezzo, with it’s famous monthly antiques market.
