Laid down at the foot of two hills – those of Talamone and Talamonaccio – and faced towards the sea, Torribasse farmhouse represents a recess fulfill of peace and magic where to appreciate the wild beauty of Maremma.
Once being a large landed estate passed after the land reform at the Maremma Organization and therefore purchased by the actual owners, the complex has been recently restorated as in its agricultural parts as in its residential for offering to the visitors comfort staying places.
Its position is a real crossroad between the most beautiful and significant places of Maremma, allowing the visitors to reach, just covering only few kilometers, some of the most fascinating tourist destinations in the zone: The Uccellina Park, Alberese, Talamone, The Port of S. Stefano, Capalbio, Monte Argentario, Saturnia Thermae.
To the curious traveler, Torribasse farmhouse will offer views and panoramas of the surrounding nature: vegetable gardens and cultivated lands, from which some of the most delicious products typical for the zone are extracted, the tangled vegetation with the infinite vineyards spread out right to the swimming pool - they all grow tall overhung looking to the sea horizon.
The Torribasse farm is an IGT Tuscany oil producer associated of Cantina Cooperativa of Morellino di Scansano.
The hospitality of Torribasse farmhouse offers 8 apartments for a total of 18 beds completely restorated and with maximum peace and comfort.
Among them, six –Rosemary, Strawberry-Tree, Sage, Savin, Broom and Myrtle
- are made up of one porch, a double room, a living room with sofa and a kitchen corner, for about 40 sq.m plus two additional bed spots.
The other two – Holm-Oak and Sycamore, except the hall and the sofa room with the kitchen corner, have two rooms in additional – a single and a double room with additional small bed for a total of 3 bed spots plus 3 additional.
The apartments are equipped with air conditioner, television and local laundry. Each structure offers an incomparable sea view of Argentario.
The visitors of Torribasse farmhouse can enjoy the swimming pool (m 16x9), situated between the dwellings and looking to the sea. 500 meters from the residencies private forests begin, offering numerous walks in the vegetation.
The Maremma Park
Founded in 1975, the park preserves one of the most particular and delicate microclimates of the zone. Extended on 100 sqm, it embraces a territory that spreads out from Principina a Mare to Talamone; the southern part of the coast is characterized by a sandy and brackish environment inhabited with pioneer species, whether the northern part are that of the Uccellina mountain, covered with thick vegetation. Due to the name of its mountain chain, it is also called Parco dell’Uccellina.
The Island of Giglio
Situated at 11 km from Argentario, this popular island, famous for its crystal deep fishy waters, represents one of the privileged destinations where enjoying a marvelous sea. The 90 % of its territory is completely savage: this favors long walks among the nature waves, reaching out sandy beaches, rocky reefs and cramped inlets.
The Giannutri Island
Also called the seagull island, this small island, nevertheless characterized by a rich past, is part of the Natural Park of the Tuscany archipelago. Numerous are the roman civilization ruins, particularly the marbles of the antique Enobarbi villa. Its pure waters make it to be a real pearl among the other three islands. Attention: taking bath is not permitted everywhere in the park! During the summer it is possible to reach the island every day, while in the winter period the only available days are Wednesday and Saturday.
