"Al Sambuco" is located in Contra, near Piazza al Serchio. We are in the heart of Garfagnana, the beautiful valley between the chains of Appennines and Apuan Alpes in the north of Tuscany, in the green of fields and woods. From the privileged position of this place you can see a wonderful view of the valley.

"Al Sambuco" holiday farm is located in country in an isolated and panoramic place. The farm consists of a farm cottage and a stable completely restored retaining typical features and original materials of rural constructions. The farmhouse is divided in three apartments (Cicala, Formica, Grillo), completely independent and with separate entrances, while the stable (Stalla) is a single big apartment.

At "Al Sambuco" you can choose between two way of spending your holiday: to stay relaxed in the peace of the country or do a lot of activities as trekking (Garfagnana Trekking passes near the farm), mountain bike, that are available in the farm, excursions in mountain, tours to caves or natural parks.

The farm cultivates natural products (spelt, tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce, onions, ...) that the guests can pick from the vegetable garden, near the apartments, and so taste the true and ancient flavours.


Our guests are provided with detailed maps for excursions and visits in the most charming places of Garfagnana Valley.
