The Villetta di Monterufoli estate in the Province of Pisa, boasts over 1000 Ha of uncontaminated nature, and is situated on a hillside area 35 Km from Volterra and 25 Km from the beaches of the Etruscan coastline.

The estate in the period between 1914 and 1957 belonged to the descendants of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca, and is today part of the Saiagricola s.p.a Group.
There are three distinct accommodation premises of guests, sleeping a total f 60 in both rooms and apartments. The main building known as MINIERA, is in fact an ancient Palazzo dating back to 1850 and which houses the bedrooms, the reception, Bar and restaurant.
Minutes from the main building are the ANCIENT STABLES of the prized Monterufolini horses, and is the ideal place for those seeking a little relaxation and who wish to savour all the charm of an authentic Tuscan ambience featuring beamed ceiling and terracotta tiled floors ,and a wonderful fireplace in the dining room.
On the edges of the Natural Reserve of Monterufoli - Caselli with its over 4000 Ha of forest land, is the GUARD HOUSE, renovated during the course of 2005 offers 4 independent apartments with a park with full facilities amongst the centuries-old holm oaks.

The guests have a swimming-pool at their disposal (17m x 7m)for both adults and children a multi-functional tennis-basketball court, as well as numerous tracks for trekking and mountain-biking, as well as table-tennis, table football and children's play park.
The estate also produces Doc wine, Extra virgin olive oil and Organic honey.

LA MINIERA
An ancient railway station dating back to "1850" which has been recently renovated but which at time was the arrival station for the lignite train that linked Monterufoli to the most important railway station of Cecina. It today has a Tower Suite , a "Miner's" apartment which all offer splendid views over the surrounding vineyards and woodlands. Located at 100 m. from the swimming pool and the olive and cork trees that surround it, the building is on two storeys.
Ground floor: Dining room with roofed covering. A meeting room with all facilities for about 20 guests. Garden with children's swings and slides, table tennis and table football. Rooms for the disabled.First floor: 9 double rooms and certain communicating rooms, with bathroom and balcony. Air conditioning and Sat tv available in the rooms on request.

LE SCUDERIE
Situated 100 m from the main building the Ancient stables of the Monterufoli horse breed, is today the ideal place for those who seek a little relaxation in a typically Tuscan setting with beamed ceilings, baked tile floors and open fireplace in the dining room.

THE ANCIENT GUARD HOUSE
On the edges of the woodland of the Natural Reserve of Monterufoli Caselli of over 4000 Ha, the Ancient guardhouse renovated during 2005, consists of 4 private apartments with magnificent view over the valley

WILDLIFE
In the area consists of numerous animal species such as the Apennine wolf, foxes, badgers, porcupines, wild boars, fallow deer and roe deer. Moreover the area is ideal for bird watching.
For all those who love to walk and hike; or mountainbike, it is possible to go in the picturesque cork tree woods and to follow numerous paths to discover streams and old mines.

Surrounding the villa is comprised of a spacious garden varieties of plantings, fruit trees and a relaxant swimming pool.

Villetta of Monterufoli covers over a thousand hectares of uncontaminated natural surroundings; it is nearly 20 kms far from Cecina, on the border between the extreme southern edge of the province of Pisa and the Northern part of Grosseto.
Villetta di Monterufoli is situated close to Riserva Naturale Monterufoli-Caselli, naturalistic oasis of 4.800 hectares, where is possible to go with guided tours.
For those who love archaeology, it is possible to reach in a five minutes the Etruscan city of Volterra and going to the see, the archaeological and naturalistic park of Baratti-Populonia and S.Silvestro Park.
