Capezzano House: the main farmhouse
The heart of the whole complex, this house goes back to the end of 1600 and is in an area where traces of Etruscan life of the second century BC have been found. Today, after a careful reconstruction which was finished in 2004, we have succeeded in keeping the natural harmony of the place intact, even if we have added every comfort.
Here we welcome our guests on their arrival, and here they find too:
• our Restaurant which has been built in the old stables
• the tasting room and sales of wines, olive oil and typical products we produce like Vinsanto, Grappa, jams, organic fruits.

Little Bio-House : something different
This comes from an old reconstructed hay-loft according the bio-building principles, using only natural and ecological materials. The use of magnetic correctors as clean-energy and  bio-switch to neutralize the electromagnetic fields  assure you a cleaned, energized environment where you can reload yourself and find the positive energy of nature. Furnitured with natural Eucalypto wood beds without metallic parts or syntethic glues, but entirely hand made with studied joints, this little bio-house will  allow you to feel a deep and complete well-being, for your mind and  body.

Arcangelo House: the oldest
Farmers who have lived in this house, say originally it was a monastry where charitable monks gave refuge to poor people turned away by the nearby village. Today it is Arcangelo House , the first which in 1993 was turned into agriturismo, though it has preserved  its original structure. Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, this house is very suitable for groups of friends or more families who like to spend a holiday together in full relaxation.
On the first floor there are 9 bedrooms with private bath and original furniture from the late 1800 and 2 equipped kitchens. On the ground floor there is a large dining room with fireplace to be all together, TV , living room  and another large kitchen.
Cellar, panoramic terrace with view of Certaldo and a gazebo to eat outside.

San Raffaello House: like your home
A large Tuscan farmhouse divided into apartments and deep in the countryside, right in front of San Gimignano’s towers.
This house is ideal for families with children or groups of young friends who prefer a more independent holiday with the possibility of more space, so that one can feel at ones ease. Each apartment has got a reserved area to eat outside or simply to enjoy the beauty of the landscape.

The organic farm : the passion for the good
The natural vocation of the Sienese land is that to produce  excellent wines and olive oil , like those that the Mora family have achieving for years, in the 23 Ectares of vineyards on the farm of Poderi Arcangelo. A hilly position and an ideal climate, the value of the land and the passion of a family have allowed for the cultivation of very good products, all organical:

Our restaurant: tuscan recipes and organic food
A holiday in Poderi Arcangelo is also an experience to discover the unique flavours of Tuscan food, the healthiest and most genuine following the old recipes of this land and the organic products of our farm : the home-made pasta, the vegetable soups like the famous ribollita, the grilled meat , the roasts and our homemade cakes. At Poderi Arcangelo , the experience and the passion of Signora Maria, also give you the opportunity to organize  personalized lunches or dinners on themes, or even special occasions for friends who love sharing the pleasures of  good food.

Free time and activities
Poderi Arcangelo is a real Agriturismo and this is why a holiday here  involves all senses and excites in every occasion. Free time becomes a way to follow the different activities of country life and its seasons, like the harvest and the picking of the olives, or you can take part in brief courses  on cooking and learn how to prepare Tuscan food, follow guided wine-tasting and visit the cellars, or go walking or biking on paths through vineyards, olive trees and little woods up to the small town of San Gimignano.
Instead, lazy people can simply have a swim in the pool or stay in the shade and read a book, while those who like to take care of their bodies,can book a massage or go to  the nearby Terme of Gambassi
( km 7) and have some personalized treatment.
In other words, all the best of a healthy, enjoyable, relaxing holiday.

The Land of Tuscany
Poderi Arcangelo is in a strategic position to discover the natural resources and the artistic patrimony of a land like Tuscany: half way between San Gimignano and Certaldo, near to the main art cities Firenze, Siena, Volterra, Vinci, Colle Val d’Elsa, Monteriggioni.
The Houses of the Poderi Arcangelo are a good point of departure to visit the whole region and come in direct contact with the countryside without forgetting art, cultural events, music, movies, shopping.

San Gimignano
The famous city of 72 medieval Towers has Etruscan origins, but it had its most important splendour during the Medioeval age thanks to the Via Francigena which went through it. This ancient road was travelled along by thousands of pilgrims going to Rome and through the years became an important road for commercial exchanges. Dante Alighieri himself lived in San Gimignano as ambassador of the Guelf league of Tuscany . Nowdays this small town is one of the treasures of this region, with its paved streets, the old cooking tradition ,the taste of its famous wine Vernaccia and its popular traditions.

Certaldo
Its name comes from latin cerrus ( or from germanic cerrus aldo) which indicates a little hill covered by cerri that means high trees.Certaldo was an important Vicariato , like the coat of arms of Palazzo Pretorio testify.
Here Giovanni Boccaccio was born in XIII century and today you can still visit his home. A funicular takes you up to the old romantic part of this typical medioeval village , unfortunately not very well known , but full of history and atmosphere. At only 3 Km from Poderi Arcangelo.

Volterra
Circled by its walls which date from 200 A.C.,Volterra is built round the ancient church of Santa Maria and Priori Square, near the extraordinary  towers. The fame of this city is due to the important archeological places like the Roman Theatre, the Acropolis, the Necropolis, the Terme, tangible signs of its ancient etruscan origins.
