Located on the Tuscan/Umbrian borders, perched on a hill in the Tyber Valley stands Casa Spertaglia, an original country style house. The magnificent pool has been built inside an antique restored “vasca” from the 19 century to keep the original structure and atmosphere. It is surrounded by big gardens with garden beds. The garden contains planting typical of the region: sunflowers, olives, vineyards, lavender, rosemary, herbs, cypress and figs. There are many terraces at different levels, some shaded and others in the full sun.
At your disposition you will have independent double bed rooms and apartments all with private separate entrance and own dining outdoor pergola. The rooms and apartments are tastefully furnished and decorated with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and antique furniture. All have private bathrooms, very well equipped kitchens, sat-tv, cd-stereo, dvd and library.
All rooms overlook the gardens and grounds and have views to the surrounding landscape. On request we will serve you a rich breakfast in the garden. In the big mediterranean garden area guests enjoy relaxing in the sun or sipping a glass of wine in the evening by candlelight admiring the stunning panorama.
The local town of San Giustino and the nearby villages Sansepolcro and Città di Castello have a tantalizing "Corso" with many good restaurants from family run to elegant style dining, wine bars, often with "all fresco" eating. We are pleased to help you with planning. Every week nearby there are local markets. During summertime in the surroundings there are e many outdoor concerts, music-and folk-festivals and sagras where the locals will serve you typical food and wine. Tennis, Golf, sport complexes are all in 20km reach.
