"The people of Comiso were the first in the area of the Iblei Mounts that gave hospitality to Rosario Gagliardi. They also appreciated his rich architecture. Gagliardi had moved from Noto to Comiso to plan and build (1724-1730) the stately house in the estate of the Trigona family, in Canicarao, a wide and fertile valley at the gates zof Comiso". ( V. Lena).
