Le Logge di Sopra, B&B in the heart of “Crete senesi”, is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century, fully rebuilt, respecting the original architectural lines and antique traditions.
It is an ideal place also for holidays in winter with thermal baths, only 15 km far (in Rapolano Terme).

With the transformation of the wine vault into 3 appealing rooms and 2 flats has been created a comfortable, spacious and welcoming structure which guarantees guest peace and privacy, thanks to a reduced number of guests that contemporary spend their holidays here.

This is the ideal place for a peaceful holiday in the wonderful tuscan hill country, with all the amenities of comfortable homely welcome.
And you could enjoy culinary specialities inside typical restaurants, like the “ribollita”, the “pici” with wild boar, the vegetable soups with mushroom, the famous charcoal grilled steak called “Bistecca allaFiorentina” with white truffle.

Where we are
Le Logge di sopra is located in the heart of the “Crete Senesi”, in a strategic position for either a quick tour or a pleasant week full of significant highlights offered by nature, history, culture, gastronomy and oenology.



It stands 275 m a.s.l. and 5 km from Asciano, a small town of Etruscan-Roman origin with interesting sites and a wonderful, recently opened museum with Etruscan finds and sacred art objects of the 13th century, and an Etruscan tumulus tomb. It stands 5 km from the "Site transitoire" di Jean-Paul Philippe, in Leonina.


Siena, a city famous all over the world for its Palio (raced every year on July 2nd and August 16th) and its wonderful medieval palazzos (like the Town Hall in the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the majestic 13th century Cathedral, the Picture Gallery, the Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana, the Santa Maria della Scala) is only 17 km away.



San Gimignano, a real jewel of medieval architecture and art, is 65 km away. We are 110 km from Florence, 35 km from Montalcino (renowned for its Brunello wine), 37 km from Pienza (inside the Orcia natural park, very interesting for its Renaissance architecture, but also known for its local products, in particular its pecorino cheese), and 130 km from Pisa.


Other beautiful places near us include Montepulciano (where the vino Nobile di Montepulciano is produced; sites to visit are the Duomo and the church of San Biagio), Monteriggioni, Cortona, Assisi, Volterra. Some beautiful abbeys are open to visitors: Monte Oliveto Maggiore (13 km away), a suggestive abbey of the 1400’s with a beautiful Romanesque-Gothic church, a cloister with frescos by Sodoma and Signorelli, narrating the life of Saint Benedict, whore motto "ora et labora" guides the life of Benedictine monks), Sant’ Antimo and San Galgano (famous fr the sword in the rock).
