Constructed in the 1800's, Masseria Rosa is a beautiful example of a masseria (farmhouse) particular to this region.
It is set amongst olive groves, cherry orchards, other fruit trees and vegetable gardens. It has a large 'aia', which is a stone threshing floor, now a place to sit and enjoy the scenery. There is also a barbecue area.
Within the masseria there are Trullo apartments and others with stone vaulted ceilings. All have been renovated and restored in the old traditional way by stonemasons called 'trullari', but offering all the comfort of modern living.
