This recently restored farmhouse, on an elevation of the Lamone River Valley (around 150mt above sea level) situated on the Estate of Count Ginanni Fantuzzi, ‘Ovello’ is in an outstanding position that offers guests a splendid view of the little medieval town of Brisighella, Monte Rontana and the Roman Pieve del Thò.
One side of the farmhouse was built around the end of 1800 while the other dates back to mid 1500 and was once a sheep-fold which formed part of the Estate of Marquess Spada. It is believed that the name ‘Ovello’ is derived from the use which was made in the past of the farmhouse i.e. ovile = sheep-fold.
