PODERE SANT'ALESSANDRO, YOUR HOLIDAY HOUSE IN TUSCANY!!!

Podere Sant’Alessandro is an ancient Tuscan rural home placed in a panoramic position. It has recently been restored by the owners who have not altered the original architecture.

It is structured as a typical late XIX century Tuscan farm. The former domestic and working areas are now comfortable apartments for our guests. We have kept the original ancient stone oven that was used to make bread and cook game and roast meat during festivities.

We offer accomodation in five apartments, each for 2 up to 8 people, for a total 20 beds.
The interiors are carefully decorated and show warm brilliant colours.

You will find yourself right at the heart of Tuscany, only 25 Km away from Siena, 6 km from Asciano and the Crete (clay) Senesi, less than an hour away by car from Montalcino, Arezzo, Florence and 2 hours away from the capital, Rome.
Podere Sant’Alessandro is located in San Gimignanello (Siena), one of the ancient fiefs of the Counts of Scialenga, dating back to 1022. It is placed on a hill, 370 meters above sea level.

You will enjoy a panoramic view on woods of holm oaks, oaks and mapletrees, olive-groves and wineyards in the estate of San Gimignanello, and the clayey hills of the Crete Senesi.

In a stone's throw spring the Bagni di Rapolano, known since the middle ages: our guests have a chance to spend some time and relax in the near-by hydros and spas.

Our swimming pool, surrounded by the garden and in a panoramic position, is equipped with comfortable sun beds, small tables and parasols. You can enjoy a night swimming below the stars thanks to our illumination system.

Podere Sant’Alessandro includes a 2 hectar wineyard and 100 olives, a garden for spices and vegetables, cultivated by an expert farmer.

A barbecue by the gazebos is at your disposal.

You are so welcome to visit our small wine cellar. Here you will find an ancient winepress, still in use when we make wine during the vintage. An ideal place to exchange useful suggestions and impressions about your trip, having a glass of good wine and tasting the local food.
