In the company: * Exclusive access (on foot or by Land Rover shuttle) to rocky coves, which are only accessible through the inland of The Estate of Uccellina * Trips and trekking in the Reserve with routes of varying lengths and difficulty * Jeep outings in the 400 hectare protected area * Animal watching * The possibility to participate in agricultural and zoo-related activities. * Tasting and purchasing of typical products of the Estate (including meat of Maremma bred cows, genuine organic oil, honey and wine). * Typical Maremma cuisine, from April to September, served in the garden of the Estate. * New!!! – A stable and riding school is currently being prepared, to be opened for the next Season. Guests, both those with a passion for horse-riding and those who are less experienced, will be able to take guided rides through the Park, take part in courses and lessons or simply enjoy a weekend on horseback . . . In the vicinity of the Agricultural Estate of Uccellina: * Hiring of Mountain bikes; * Boat charter for up to 8 people with skipper for day outings to the island of Giglio, the bays of Violina and di Forno. * The possibility to practise water sports (Kite-surfing, diving, sailing courses, canoe excursions); * Argentario Golf Club, 16 holes, in a pleasant golf course surrounded by an enchanting natural environment.
Where we areA few kilometres from Grosseto, in the heart of Maremma Nature Reserve, is the Agricultural Estate of Uccellina covering 400 hectares, amidst cultivated land, woody areas and access to the sea.
The excellent geographical location and the Reserve’s unique inland position, allow you to cross the protected area diagonally, admiring different landscapes from plains to hilly slopes and down to the sea.
The Agricultural Estate of Uccellina is an ideal place for animal lovers and for a holiday that regenerates total well-being by staying in close contact with nature. Furthermore, it enables you to quickly reach the cities of art such as Siena, Pisa, Florence, Rome and the important Etruscan-Roman archaeological sites of Cosa, Roselle, Vetulonia,
Scansano, the wine cellars of Morellino and different spas including Saturnia. This enables you to discover seaside localities there.
Within the Agricultural Estate of Uccellina, the woody area on the western side is rich in ilex, oak, cork and sycamore trees. On the other hand, the eastern side towards the sea hosts a dense and compact maquis, populated with a wide variety of faunae including wild pigs, animals and foxes.
The rocky coves close to the maquis give exclusive access to one of the most scenic and unpolluted areas along the Tyrrhenian Coast. This enables you to enjoy a spectacular view of Giglio Island, Giannutri Island and Argentario.
