would you like to spend a weekend or extended holiday in a house made of wood, stones, lime, and clay? A house heated by robust woodstoves, surrounded by pastures, chestnut forests, a variety of wild life, and breath taking night skys...?
Farm Holidays Cà Marcantonio is located in the heart of the famous organic valley of the river Vara, 18 km from Sestri Levante, 30 km from the 5 Terre, 14km from Varese Ligure and 33 km from the sky facilities of Zeri.
The house is divided into 4 each with 2 floors apartments. Each of which is indipendent and fully equipped.
Fruits, vegetables, fresh eggs, and poultiry can be found in abundance.
Trecking ( also with donkeys! ), tree climbing, basket making, primitive ceramics, are just a few of the activities offered.
We have available produce from our smallholding, which includes fruit and vegetables, preserves, eggs, chickens and aromatic herbs. Often we organise easy walks together with our donkeys. On Sundays we walk to our village church to hear mass (said by Don Lavagnino,who is the oldest priest in Italy) you are welcome to join us if you so wish! Also you can participate in the rural works on the farm as well as the care of our animals!
You will see how fascinating it is to learn to distinguish the different way we use clay, to shape them and to colour them! Rosanna bakes her own bread from time to time, and if you are lucky to be there when she does, she will be happy to show you how.
Also for the more adventurous we can arrange afternoons of tree climbing! Alberto has been the champion of Italy 3 times! Do not worry, we take every safety precaution!
