All year round, less than an hour from piazza del Campo and Siena’s town centre, only a few minutes away from Montalcino and in the middle of the Val d’Orcia’s Nature Park, surrounded by vineyards of Brunello, eight spacious and bright apartments welcome guests who are lovers of silence and beauty. A panoramic natural hot water bath (around 40 °C) is open every day and night of the year and a summer swimming pool is available from June to October.
The panorama is extraordinary, ranging from the peaks of Mount Amiata to the sea of the Etruscan Coast, passing through the cultivated valleys of the Val d’Orcia and the Maremma.
Pool of Natural hot water
At our guests’ disposal there is a pool (3,50 metres in diameter) of natural hot water (around 40° centigrade) that comes directly from a stratum more than 120 metres underground; the pool, that can be used both day and night all year round, is in a panoramic position overlooking the valleys that lead to the Tyrrhenian Sea from Mount Amiata and the Val d'Orcia.
Summer swimming pool
The summer swimming pool (open from June to October) is 14 x 6m and 1,40m deep; south facing, with a view overlooking the valleys that open up in front of ‘Le 7 Camicie’, it guarantees relaxation and entertainment for the whole family.
Wine Tasting & Wine Tour
There’s a difference between buying a bottle of wine at the supermarket and tasting the same wine where it was actually produced, talking with those who take care of the vines, looking at the vats where it is fermented, touching the barrels.
For those who wish to try this experience, we organise visits and guided tastings in the wine cellars of the Brunello and Chianti Classicoregion, accompanying our guests on a journey of discovery, not only of things but of their own essence.
‘Le 7 Camicie’ estate is in the south of the Province of Siena within the Borough of Montalcino, and 10 km from Montalcino itself. The nearest town is Castelnuovo dell’ Abate, which is only one and a half kilometres away and to the S. Antimo Abbey it is about two kilometres.
At Castelnuovo dell’Abate, there are restaurants, bars, a post office, a grocery shop and a bank. Every other kind of service, including a supermarket and a petrol station, can be found in Montalcino.
