The farm: Gelindo dei Magredi is a tourism centre situated in the Magredi, a natural park of 400 square km a short distance from Pordenone, at the foot of the Carnian Alps.
The central part consists of a 15 acre farm where there is a hotel restaurant, agricultural lodges with rooms equipped with tv and air conditioning; the red house has a reception room with an open fire in the friulano style and the yellow house with a veranda solarium and a view of the two swimming pools, one for adult and one for children, the old dairy is used for farm tourism, the camping site with a mirror of water and games for the children.
The shaded fields, the vegetable patches and organic fruitteries, the vines, the cellar: a small museum of farm life, a functioning stables complete with riding school complete the structure.
The Trevisanutto brothers, descendants of Gelindo, a Hungarian noble horseman, built the farm in 1970 as a productional model, today it is composed of 30 acres, cultivated with grains, forage, vines, organic fruits and vegetables in greenhouses and open fields.
There are also cows, pigs, chickens and donkeys. A short stay is the perfect occasion for a cheerful holiday, without worries, but still educational allowing you to rediscover old values and traditions so often forgotten.
