Nothing is changed in the original aspect of Marquis Spanò's Old Baglio: fortified manor with cellar, court typology with well and mastering body in the backfront. It is structured in a quadrangular plant, articolated in two courtyards communicating each other, the same stone courts sang by Tomasi di Lampedusa in his "Gattopardo", children of a feudal nobility which are survived to wars, famines and conquerings. The facades are perfectly symmetrical respect to the axys that passes through the main entrance which gives access to the genteel palaces.
In the old cellars, wisely reorganized, the breakfast is served with the products of the agricultural farming; jams, sweets and home made cookies.
The Baglio's rooms are furnished with family Art Nouveau antique furniture and vintage objects; the floor is realized with rare marble tiles and ceilings with naked wooden girders and tuff elements. The rooms are provided of air conditioned, heating, Tv, strongbox, private bathroom with majolicas handcraft decorated, marble sinks, shower unit, equipped with hairdrier, bubble bath, courtesy set, etc. Moreover, thanks to other details, for example the colours present in every nouance, the soft lights, the natural textiles, the tapestry on the walls, the porcelain dishes and vases. These ambiances transmit a strong identity, full of charme and poetry.
To taste the area's typical products, clients can even use an appropriate hall obtained from " Masseria Baglio Tenute Montalto" ex-cellars at the other family estate on the mediterranen seafront, that owners don't love to call "restaurant". There is too much cold-shouldering in this word; "We prefer to call it dining room, to highline the nearness that we want to create with our guests with food", says Silvia Montalto Spanò.
