Pastures and beech woods of chestnut ridge to the bottom of the valley, giving way different backgrounds, some with strong elements of Mediterranean typically accompanied by other mountains.
Here you can find a variety of rocks characterized by forms, sometimes unusual, occurring in the landscape: among the most curious remains of ancient lava flows or large submarine landslides, and especially the famous Borghese Stone, a garish monolith rock rich in history and able to go crazy when the bushes are in the vicinity of its massive dark mass.
Some of the most fascinating aspects of nature, which testify to the quality of the environment surrounding Borzonasca, are made by the presence of rare species such as wolves, eagles and the flora and protected with the showy blooms of wild tulips, small trees insect hidden in the many wetlands in the area.
Deserve a mention for their purity water. An example can be found even within the Casa del Bosco with the extraordinary small stream cascades through it.
Do not miss the visit is to some lacustrine basins such as artificial lakes like Giacopiane, Zolezzi and Malanotte, as well as streams Sturla and Penna.
Heart of this natural paradise is the Regional Natural Park dell'Aveto which extends in the north and extreme south-east of the City of Borzonasca along the ridge crossed by the Way of the Ligurian Mountains.
Visitors are offered pastures, forests and breathtaking views like the ones from the Aiona, the Zatta and Ramaceto mountains.
The park is crossed by miles of trails organized under different needs, from short routes for walkers, the long trek that allow you to live intensely the territory.
