The Farmhouse Borgo Podernovo is located in the Municipality of Bolsena in the province of Viterbo between Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. This enviable position you can enjoy both the beautiful view of BOLSENA, remaining isolated in an environment of peace and relaxation, and both benefit from the 'fresh air of the pristine forests of the upper tuscia.

The structure dates back to the second half of 1800 and is a family-run farm and the availability of the owners make a very pleasant climate for their guests. All apartments are built in local volcanic stone and naturally cool.

A Podernovo were cultivated hemp, wheat, vines and olive trees, to which was added the farm (always at the household level) of sheep, goats, poultry (turkeys and chickens), pigs and cattle "Chianina". It was also produced an excellent cheese. Currently the company has grown to a type of extensive farming and produce: cereals (barley, wheat, durum wheat), coriander, standing grass hay and a good oil.

The village consists of two large farmhouses and other ancient buildings arranged all around.
The Farmhouse Podernovo offers all guests a private beach (on the shores of Lake Bolsena) surrounded by a beautiful garden, equipped with deck chairs and tables, where they can enjoy the cool shade, sun, and a lawn to play children safely. The boldest demand will benefit from a shoe for some sightseeing.

They welcome all small pets.

Since April 2012, the Farmhouse Borgo Podernovo is a pension and-relaxation oasis for horses and riders. Are in fact available paddocks and pastures.

From Borgo you can leave for excursions on FRANCIGENA or in the surrounding woods where you can meet many species of animals, as well as walking, cycling and horse riding.
