The Calcinaio farm is a very beautiful indipendent stone farmhouse situated in a quiet and panoramic location with splendid and suggestive views over the Chiana Valley, the famous Trasimeno Lake and expecially over the ancient and well-know church S. Maria delle Grazie al Calcinaio. The property is very close to the centre of Cortona, a beautiful small medieval town whose origins date back to the Etruscan period, where are many important monuments, museums and churches to be visited.
The house has been recently restored, according to the tuscan style and preserving its original structure and details like the ancient terracotta tile foors. It is tastefully furnished mostly with antiques pieces. The access to the farmhouse is through an unpaved but well-kept road. There is a parking within the grounds and a large terraced garden equipped with tables and chairs.
Maid service avaible on request; there is a laundry with washing-machine and iron and air-conditioning in all the bedroomds. On request is possible to use mountain bikes for interesting and enjoyable cycle's rides in the country or upon the hills. A large living room with satellite T.V., comfortable sofas, an fire place and an antique table in tuscan style. There is a suggestive entrance hall where is situated a Church Calcinaio fresco's.
There is also a terraced garden with plants that flower all year.The garden near home is equipped with garden furniture: confortable and elegant deck-chairs and a table for unforgettable banquets.
