Masseria Tenuta Deserto is a southern italian estate extended 160 acres of beautiful farm land surrounded by forests of Live Oak, Eucalyptes, Pines and Olive trees. Here, in this warm Mediterranean region, bathed by the sun and cooled by soft sea breezes, you will encounter, located in the center of estate, a lovely Masseria constructed during successive periods starting from late middle-age (XV century) to mid 1800 including a main house, a late middle-age tower, rural facilities, stables and stores all restored in confortable houses, a chapel, a characteristic trullo, typical house of this southern region, a swimming pool 15x7 m, a comfortable and equipped Club House where guests can enjoy typical dinners and a Wine Bar where a selection of region's wines can be tasted.
Tenuta Deserto is equipped with two swimming pool: a 15x7 meters 1,5 meters deep, and a 5x3 meters children swimming pool 0,6 meters deep. Located near the houses, in the middle of olive trees, pines and eucalyptus, immersed in the quietness of the nature, giving to the guests a further refreshment during the warm Mediterranean summers.
The little tower is the most ancient part of the Masseria constructed during late middle-age (XV century).
From the top of the little tower is possible to enjoy a large view on the whole estate.
The wine bar, located in front of the Club House, offers the possibility of tasting selected wines of the Region.
The chapel, constructed in 1887, is currently in activity. Up to 30 years ago regular Sunday services were carried out collecting all the inhabitants of the surrounding lands.
There is no end to the fascinating day trips one can make. The beautiful hill town of Ostuni is only 10 miles away; Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Alberobello and trullo territory are just slightly farther; the Castellana Caves and the Selva di Fasano safari zoo are within an hour's drive, as is Lecce, also known as the Baroque Florence.
Beautiful deserted beaches are just minutes from the farm, and a tennis club with its own restaurant is one mile away.
