The farm-holiday La Casa Vecchia, located on the border between Florence and Siena, in between the valleys of rivers Arno and Greve, reproposes a suggestive and typically Tuscan atmosphere.
The old farm, situated at about 400 metres above sea level, is immersed in the stunning stillness of woods and olive groves, along the road that originally led to the Abbey of Montescalari (11th century). La Casa Vecchia offers comfortable rooms furnished in a rustic style. Guests also have the opportunity of using the large swimming pool while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding scenario.
The neighbourhoods offer wonderful walking itineraries to those who feel the need of leaving aside the frenzy of modern life and of plunging into a dimension out of space and time, characterised by an harmonious relation between Man and nature, the same that has inspired many famous artists who have lived or visited Tuscany.
The swimming pool, set in a charming scenery among olive trees is an excellent location to relax, read a book, take the sun or simply admire the view with an afternoon tea or one of our delicious cocktails.
Those who are more energetic can use one of our mountain bikes and ride along the numerous routes which the surrounding countryside offers, have a horse riding, take advantage of the tennis court located at only 7 km far from the Casa Vecchia or challenge each other at the tennis table. (Horse School 3 km)
We are also organized for other services such as laundry, baby-sitting, transfers from and to airports and train/bus stations, internet and telephone (to be found by the reception)
