Podere Giulio.
Overlooking the sea and framed by the splendid Etruscan hills of Tarquinia with their wealth of culture and history, the Podere Giulio farm is located in countryside of almost unspoilt natural beauty. The farm offers its visitors an harmonious setting combining the old and the new for those who appreciate nature, art and sport.
The completely converted farmhouse, which still maintains its original structure, is situated on a 100 hectare farm run by three young brothers. The 10 separate apartments created within the main complex of buildings all have attic rooms and independent central heating. Each has been elegantly and tastefully fitted and furnished to offer every modern, up to date convenience. The large restaurant dining room with veranda offers local and seasonal specialities, plus an fireplace for cooking tasty grilled meats and a wood-fired oven for pizzas.

Catering
Every day our trusted team works to turn fresh Maremma produce into the quality associated with Podere Giulio catering.
Gabriella, the mother of the family, supervises the work with her two other sons Sandro and Pietro who also manage the farm with Pierluigi.
Our cooking is based above all on genuine ingredients and the pleasure of preparing local dishes.
…starters: based on various local preserved meats and cheeses and a vast assortment of organic vegetables grown on the farm which are served “au gratin”, baked and in oil. We also serve bruschette, (toasted bread rubbed with oil and garlic) with various special toppings.
……From the kitchen
…First courses… fettuccine and pappardelle pasta…potato gnocchi… ravioli maremmani…crepes ‘hunters’ style’. These dishes are all homemade and prepared daily with dedication and patience. Accompanying meat sauces reflect our local traditions … beef… wild boar… hare… duck… And again, seasonal vegetables ….. porcini mushrooms …Ferlenghi mushrooms…asparagus… courgette Flowers…courgettes …ETC.
Second courses … lamb, pork, rabbit, chicken, veal - mostly from our own animals and served in assorted ways: roasted, hunters’ style and grilled. Yes, grilled in the enormous fireplace in our dining room so that excellent meats can be served to suit every taste.
…Side dishes… these will satisfy any vegetarian; we have no problem at all providing vegetables…
…desserts… we have to mention Grandmother Elizabetta’s recipe, our special ity dessert which helps give a strong sense of unity to our farm and is known by all our clients. There is also tiramisu’, pannacotta and zuppa inglese.
…From the pizzeria …for all pizza-lovers, all kinds of pizza can be ordered for Dinner, made by the capable hands of Pierluigi and cooked in our marvellous wood-fired oven.
And everything, of course, is inspired by the simplest, most genuine Maremma traditions.
