La Casa Colonica is an old cottage located in the most green area of Umbria, a little village called “Vernazzano”, among soft hills and cultivated fields.
In ancient times the Etruscans lived in Vernazzano: they were mainly poor fishermen and woodsmen; afterwards this little village made it to history thanks to Hannibal who destroyed the Roman army guided by the Consul Caio Flaminio in June 217 b.C.

The farmhouse is situated near to the dual-carriageway that goes from Perugia to Siena. Due to its privileged position, the farmhouse is ideal for those who wish to have both a cultural and relaxing holiday.
Some of the most important artistic and cultural centres of Tuscany and Umbria are within easy reach: Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Siena, Florence, Cortona and many other smaller places rich in history, culture and art.
