The holiday farm "Ca' Maddalena" is located on one the nice hills, at about 450m on the sea level, which characterize the beautiful countryside between the Adriatic coast and the Appennines chain of central Italy.
Our little restaurant is now on the ground floor of a typical rural house, dating back to the end of the XVII century and was entirely restored following the rules of eco-architecture.

We decided to build the swimming-pool in the most panoramic spot of the farm.
From the pool there is a beautiful view to the Apennines of central Italy and the pool is situated in such a distance from the noise of the buildings (rooms and restaurant) that it is an ideal place for everybody who loves Nature and relaxation.

Our guests and just a few friends of ours are the only users of the pool; you will, therefore, never find it crowded (max. 20-25 people).
One part of the pool has a depth of 75 cm: the ideal depth for little children to play freely under control of supervised by their parents.

The restaurant "Ca' Maddalena" works in harmony with the rhythm of our farm.
We breed calves (Marchigiana) and pigs (Cinta Senese) and we grow vegetables for our restaurant.
We serve only homemade pasta (cappelletti, ravioli, lasagne, tagliatelle) and in autumn we have the pleasure to cook for our guests the delicious local mushrooms (edible boletus) and the world famous "tartufo" (truffles), which grows in our forests.
In our restaurant you will taste all the best of the traditional cookery of our land.

Tradition and genuineness characterize the dishes that we are glad to serve to our guests.
Our homemade charcuterie has the taste of the ancient times, because we breed pigs like people did in the past times in our countryside and the fresh homemade pasta enhances the ingredients that nature brings us: the vegetables from our garden, mushrooms and truffles in autumn.

We also serve excellent pork or beef meat, mostly cooked on the grill.
In our farm, we actually raise cattle of the "Marchigiana" breed, one of the most appreciated breeds for its meat, and pigs which are the result of crossings with the "cinta senese" breed.
Our animals are all reared in a half-wild state on the fields that surround the houses, together with dogs, cats and horses which are a joy for our younger guests.

Where we are

The northern part of Marches, called “Montefeltro”, is an interesting territory for its history and the beauty of its countryside.

Urbino, one of the most important Renaissance towns in Italy and painter Raphael Sanzio’s native town, is about 12 km far from the farm. Inside its wonderful Ducal Palace takes place the National Gallery of Marches, where interesting paintings of Piero della Francesca and Raffaello are on display.

In one hour by car you can reach  fascinating little castles and fortresses, like San Leo, Gradara, Gubbio, scattered on the territory that was dominated by Duke Federico da Montefeltro  in the XVI century.

We also suggest you to reach the “Gola del Furlo” (15km far), a natural canyon through which the river Candigliano flows and the ancient roman road “Via Flaminia” connected Rome to Fano on the Adriatic coast.
