Situated on a hillside, the agriturismo "La Pietriccia" has a wonderful view of the old town of Chianciano Terme, overlooking the Val di Chiana on one side and the hills of the Val d'Orcia on the other.
The Pietriccia is surrounded by woods, vineyards and orchards; our guests can therefore rediscover the pleasure of walking through the woods and stopping to drink at an old spring, and at the same time in 10 minutes they can reach the old town on foot and the spa with all its exclusive services based on curative waters for the liver and kidneys and thermal mud and natural saunas.
As the main activity is farming visitors will be greeted with a glass of good strong wine, product of the expertise of Marcello who, following the old farming traditions, produces not only Chianti but also extra virgin olive oil, fruit and vegetables in a setting of sounds, colours and tastes which only the countryside can offer.
The agriturismo is surrounded by gardens, a panoramic terrace situated below a wood, a swimming pool with hydromassage, a solarium and private parking area.
La Pietriccia also offers its guests the chance to enjoy rural cuisine in the agriturismo's private restaurant, where guests can chose to eat indoors or out on the terrace They will taste traditional Tuscan food such as our salamis, vegetables preserved in oil, fegatelli (liver), home made pasta, jams etc... prepared for you by the skilful hands of Annamaria who uses only products from our farm or neighbouring farms.
Stefano Mazzetti, son of Annamaria and professional chef with 21 years of experience, organises Tuscan cooking classes (on request also in English) in health and safety approved areas of the agriturismo. Those wishing to take part may do so by booking in advance.
