Arezzo is convenient for visiting many of the most interesting art cities in Central Italy especially Florence (60 km.), Siena (58 km.) and Perugia (65 km.)

Nearby are the hills and four valleys, Casentino, Valtiberina, Valdichiana e Valdarno.
Casentino with its National Park and the ancient abbeys of Camaldoli and La Verna, famous for its connections with Saint Francis of Assisi.
Valdichiana with its old village and towns such as Cortona.

Arezzo itself is well know for its historical pageant "La Giostra del Saracino", from wich the names of the apartaments are taken, its famous Antiques Fair held on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month and for the famous frescos of Piero della Francesca set in the basilica of San Francesco.
