Casa Vacanze Scopeto is a lovely hamlet at the slopes of the "Montagnola Senese", a hilly territory covered with chestnut and oak trees. Marbles of rare beauty were extracted here as from medieval times and were used to embellish some of the most important Italian monuments.
Churches and medieval castles are spread around in the surrounding hills. A particular mention goes to the Abbey of San Galgano, an astonishing roofless church where one can visit the world-known sword in the rock.
