Located in the Island of Sant’ Antioco, favourite destination for those who love the sun and the sea, our property still follows the principles of the biological agriculture with the production of olive oil and olives, as well as cereals.

Our hacienda extends over an area where altitude goes from 10 to 273 m height, covered with Mediterranean vegetation that hosts a rich fauna from wolves to rabbits, falcons, partridges and many other animals that live and reproduce undisturbed in the wildness of our “macchia mediterranea”.
We also keep an old “nuragic” construction, located on the top of one of the highest hills of the island, perfect point for watching the surrounding panorama at 360°.

The beauty and tranquillity of the location, together to the cordiality of their proprietary make this place ideal for those who look for a vacation in relax.
You will be able to do trekking, biking or ride our horses, while visiting our lovely countryside.
Our hacienda is 6 km far from the inhabited town of Sant’ Antioco and only 2 minutes distance from the most beautiful beaches of the island…

Surroundings

Sant’ Antioco island is located on the South-west of Sardinia, which is the less known and less crowded part of the Sardinia, and the biggest of the Sardinian islands; easy to reach by car thanks to the artificial isthmus constructed by the Romans and through the lagoon of Santa Caterina.
Within the island there are two inhabited places: the town of Sant’Antioco (12.000 inhabitants) and Calasetta (2.800 i.). The different origin of both populations, the “antiochensi” (Sardinian ) , and the “calasettani” (from Piemonte e Liguria), makes this island peculiar for hostin,g at a distance of only 8 km., two towns with a completely different history, tradition, culture and language.

The privileged geographical location of Sant’Antioco makes possible to reach other beautiful locations of the south-west coast from Portopino with its lovely sandy beaches, to Pula famous for its tropical looking beaches, to Nora with its archaeological rests , to Buggerru, from Carloforte to the Costa Verde, with the dunes of Piscinas and many other beautiful locations.

Sant’ Antioco coast is very vary with many sandy beaches in between rocky parts, and a sea crystalline and full of live; that’s way the island is the goal for those who looks for the tranquillity, and even you visit us during the low season will enjoy of a mild weather. Excellent destination for the wind-surf lovers.
Access to the beaches is free on the entire coast; during summer period beaches have a Baywatch service and rental of umbrellas and hammocks.
You can also rent a speedboat at the port or take part of a boat excursion organized by the fishermen of the island.

Sant’Antioco has a rich archaeological patrimony: the underground necropolis and the Punic tophet (known for being unique in the world), the Christian catacombs (build up in an existing Carthaginians necropolis) , a Paleochristian church (where the rest of Sant’Antioco where found, patron of the island feasted 15 days after Easter and the first of August).
There is also a rich gastronomy linked both to the products of the sea and from the land, with fresh and simple ingredients, particular flavours difficult to forget…the tasteful sheep and pork meats on the grill, our sheep and goat cheeses, the “focacce di pomodoro” and the seafood with excellent fishes, mussels and shellfishes…

Typical products from Sant’Antioco are the “bottarga” (dried eggs of tuna and mullet fish)   produced locally, served as entrée and with “pasta”, tuna fish dry meat, the traditional bread, Mirth liqueur…
